PetSmart Halloween! All PetSmart stores in the area will be hosting a pet-friendly Halloween party. Typically, the first 50 pets in the store wearing costumes on Halloween will receive free treats. There are Halloween themed photo backdrops, and other giveaways!

 

Bark or Treat! Halloween Canine Cruise – The Potomac Riverboat Company wants you to dress up your pup and cruise around! The cruise is 40 minutes, and includes Halloween themed doggie treats and tunes. October 28, 2016, 5:30-7:00pm. Admission: $16/adults, $10/children, dogs ride free!

 

Howl-O-Ween at Lake Anne (Reston, VA) October 29th from 1:00-3:00PM at Lake Anne Plaza. This Halloween festival includes a beer garden! Dress up in costume with your dog, cat, or furry friend. Pet costume contest and parade, and more!!

 

Mount Vernon Triangle Fall Festival On October 29th, meet from 10:00am – 1:00pm for the Dog Costume Parade & Contest! Folks will meet at 5th & I Streets, NW at Milian Park for the start of the parade that goes to 5th & K. This is the community’s Fall Fun Day, and also includes free mini-pumpkin painting, face painting, free apple cider and popcorn, a pumpkin decorating contest and more!

 

Fairmont Howl-O-Ween Trick or Treating TBD, 6:00-7:30 pm, at the Fairmont Washington, 2401 M Street, NW, Washington DC. Peanut butter doggie biscuits are provided for all pups. (They are created by the Fairmont’s pastry team!) Dogs in costumes could win a prize for creativity and cuteness! Humans can buy a cup of “Witches’ Brew” for $5, and a cash bar is available. A collection box will accept monetary donations for the Washington Animal Rescue League, and there will be dogs available for adoption.

 

Doggy Trick-or-Treat October 30, 1:00-6:00 pm; The Dog Park, 705 King St., Alexandria, VA. Bring your family and your dog to Old Town and trick-or-treat together! Enjoy treats, sales and a costume contest!
